MARBLE FLOOR

Marble Floor is the transformation of a narrow hallway between the Japanese tearoom and the patio of the house, which was originally coated with tatami, into an apparent marble floor. The marble as a classic European material made for eternity is a harsh contrast to the traditional Japanese materials wood, paper and rice straw, which are rather flexible towards unstable climatic circumstances.
